Cambiasso interest denied

Sao Paulo have insisted they have no interest in signing Esteban Cambiasso following the end of his Inter Milan contract.

The 33-year-old Argentine midfielder is available on a free transfer this summer after Inter decided not to offer him a new deal.

He has been linked with a move back to River Plater, where he spent time near the end of his career, as well as Brazilian club Sao Paulo.

But Sao Paulo Paulo's vice-president Ata? Gil Ribeiro has insisted that Cambiasso has not even figured in their transfer discussions.

He told Globo Esporte: "We have no interest [in Cambiasso].

"We haven't even talked about this subject."

Cambiasso has been with Inter for the past ten years, having previously left River Plate for Real Madrid in 2002.
