Cardiff v Aston Villa preview

Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hand a late fitness test to playmaker Craig Noone ahead of their Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Tuesday.

At his press conference on Monday, Solskjaer admitted there was a slight concern over the midfielder but remains confident he will feature in the midweek fixture.

Captain Mark Hudson (hamstring) is nearing his return but Andrew Taylor could miss out again with a calf problem.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert could be without the on-loan Ryan Bertrand on when they travel to South Wales.

The defender, signed from Chelsea in mid-January until the end of the season, damaged his ribs after colliding with a post during Saturday's 2-0 defeat to West Ham.

Lambert could also be without centre-back Ron Vlaar for the second successive match due to a hamstring problem.
