Carter makes winning comeback
Ali Carter made a successful return to the baize on Saturday as he edged out Adam Duffy in a Shanghai Masters qualifier.
The two-time world finalist has been absent from the tour in order to receive treatment for testicular cancer.
He is in remission now, though, and was back in action against Duffy in Doncaster, winning a deciding frame to prevail 5-4.
His highest break of 64 was little to write home about, but being back in action was the main goal as he booked his spot in the main draw.
