Carter to start against Pumas
Fly-half Dan Carter is set to return to New Zealand's starting XV for this weekend's Test against Argentina in La Plata.
Carter has missed the All Blacks' last two games with a calf injury but the world's leading Test points scorer came through training without any problems on Monday.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen confirmed that if all goes according to plan this week, Carter will replace Chiefs playmaker Aaron Cruden in the number ten jersey.
"He is that way at this stage," said Hansen. "We'll have to wait and see how we go on the training track but DC's come through the week reasonably good and he sounds confident, as long as he doesn't get any setbacks we should be fine."
Nearly 200 curious locals turned up to watch the Kiwis train at a local school.
This weekend's test is a 42,000 strong sellout.
