Carvell missing for Wolves
Warrington's Garreth Carvell has lost his fitness race ahead of the Hull's visit in the second Super League preliminary semi-final on Saturday.
Carvell has not recovered from a back spasm problem in time but Australia full-back Brett Hodgson was named in Tony Smith's 19-man squad.
Influential Wolves forward Ben Westwood is still sidelined through injury though Ben Harrison returns to the team to bolster the Wolves' pack.
Identical bicep injuries rule experienced Hull pair Danny Tickle and Sam Moa out of the trip to the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Moa looks unlikely to feature again in the competition before moving to Sydney Roosters in 2013.
Tickle, meanwhile, made his return in the home victory over Castleford Tigers a fortnight ago, but a set-back in training has ruled him out again.
The Wolves were hoping to have this weekend off after securing a top-two finish in Super League for the second successive year, but last week's opening play-off defeat by St Helens has forced them into a sudden-death tie with Hull on Saturday night.
