Celozzi to leave Frankfurt
Stefano Celozzi has confirmed he will leave Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season as the club close on a decision regarding their new coach.
Former Bayern Munich youngster Celozzi joined Frankfurt two years ago, but the majority of his appearances for the club have been as a substitute and he has featured only sporadically this season.
The 25-year-old has now decided to move on in the summer and has already instructed his agent to look for a new club.
"I have enjoyed a great time at Eintracht Frankfurt, although I have played fewer matches [from the start] than I had hoped to do," the full-back told BILD.
"Of course, I will be leaving the club at the end of the season. My agent is already sounding out my situation and future chances."
Meanwhile, Frankfurt are inching closer to naming a replacement for Armin Veh, who is leaving at the end of the season following three years as coach.
Wigan boss Uwe Rosler is among those to have been linked with the vacancy, along with the likes of Markus Babbel, Thomas Schaaf, Roger Schmidt, Markus Weinzierl and Thomas Tuchel.
Frankfurt's executive chairman Heribert Bruchhagen told Sky Deutschland: "I think we may soon come up with a decision in this manager search.
"We are in touch with managers. Of course, we have to protect those managers still in a job at their current club or those who are also in the mix for other jobs at other clubs.
"Decisions like this are always made by a small circle of authorities. I think we are actually just before a final decision."
