Celtic v St Johnstone preview

The versatile Charlie Mulgrew is available again for Celtic as the Scottish Premiership pacesetters prepare for the visit of St Johnstone on Sunday (kick-off 12.45pm).

Mulgrew missed last weekend's Scottish Cup defeat by Aberdeen at Celtic Park because of a calf injury, but the 27-year-old has fully recovered as is likely to start against Saints.

Winger James Forrest is doubtful for the Sky Live clash as a result of ongoing fitness issues, after suffering various injuries in the last year.

Celtic are looking to bounce back after last week's disappointment, and Neil Lennon's men will be aiming to stretch their unbeaten league run to 28 matches.

St Johnstone defender Tam Scobbie returns from suspension for the trip to Celtic Park but centre-back Frazer Wright misses out because of a ban.

Goalkeeper Alan Mannus has returned to light training ahead of schedule after breaking a thumb but is unlikely to be risked.

Saints striker Steven MacLean is also back in training following knee surgery but is not ready to play while midfielder Murray Davidson remains out of action with a knee injury.
