Chesterfield win to go top

Chesterfield leapfrogged Scunthorpe to return to the Sky Bet League Two summit following their 2-0 win at York on Tuesday night.

The Iron went top on Monday night but were shunted back down to second as the Spireites triumphed courtesy of first-half goals from Eoin Doyle and Gary Roberts.

Oxford drew at Exeter in their first outing since manager Chris Wilder's departure for Northampton, caretaker boss Mickey Lewis overseeing a goalless 90 minutes at St James' Park.

A point leaves Oxford in fourth, level on 48 points with Burton and Southend.

Phil Brown's Shrimpers reached that mark after drawing 1-1 at Dagenham.

Kevan Hurst put the visitors ahead eight minutes into the second half, but they were pegged back by Luke Norris' equaliser 15 minutes later.

AFC Wimbledon came from behind to see off visiting Hartlepool.

Luke James put Pools in front just before the break but two goals in as many minutes from Will Antwi and substitute Danny Hylton ensured the hosts left with three points.

Peter Murphy scored in injury time to hand Accrington a 1-0 victory at Bristol Rovers, extending his side's buffer over the drop zone to six points.

Rovers, on the other hand, remain just four clear of the bottom two.

It was a similar story at Wycombe, who lost 1-0 to Portsmouth.

Ryan Taylor's penalty five minutes into the second half put Pompey level with Accrington on 32 points, while Wanderers lie three points further back in 21st.

Four fixtures fell foul of waterlogged pitches, with Mansfield v Bury, Newport v Plymouth, Northampton v Rochdale and Torquay v Burton all postponed.
