Chicago end Anaheim's run

Marian Hossa bookended the scoring as the Chicago Blackhawks halted the Anaheim Ducks' NHL winning streak at eight matches with a 4-2 victory.

Hossa opened the scoring before Kris Versteeg and Bryan Bickell gave the Blackhawks something of a cushion, only for Ryan Getzlaf and Kyle Palmieri to bring the deficit down to a single goal with just over five minutes remaining.

Hossa settled any nerves with eight seconds left as Chicago claimed their first win over Western Conference leaders Anaheim in six matches.

Cam Atkinson scored two goals as the Columbus Blue Jackets earned their fifth straight win following a 5-1 triumph over the Washington Capitals.

James Wisniewski opened the scoring and Atkinson and Ryan Johansen put the Blue Jackets further in the ascendancy.

John Carlson narrowed the deficit but Mark Letestu restored the three-goal cushion, with Atkinson completing the scoring.
