Christie secures skating medal
Elise Christie put the seal on her successful season by winning a 1000 metres bronze medal in the World Short-Track Championships.
Christie, already crowned the overall World Cup champion at the distance, battled through a physical final to finish third behind China's Wang Meng and Jorien Ter Mors of Holland in Debrecen, Hungary.
In doing so the Livingston skater became the first Great Britain woman to claim an individual short-track World Championship medal.
GB short-track performance director Stuart Horsepool said: "Elise skated well today and particularly as she was under a lot of pressure to win Great Britain's first medal.
"She performed well against a number of seasoned competitors and all this will help her cope with the same kind of environment in the future."
