Cleverly in cruise control

Nathan Cleverly dispatched Shawn Corbin forcing a second-round stoppage to secure decisive victory in his long-awaited cruiserweight debut.

The former world light-heavyweight champion saw off WBC Caribbean champion Corbin without issue in Cardiff on Saturday night.

The Welshman returned to the ring for the first time since losing his WBO light-heavyweight title to Sergey Kovalev in August 2013.

Cleverly spent nine months away from the ring assessing his future in the sport, switching weight divisions, trainer and promoter.

The 27-year-old needed less than six minutes to dispatch Corbin, signalling a solid start to life in his new weight classification.
