Clohessy in Colchester switch

Colchester have completed the signing of defender Sean Clohessy from Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock.

The 27-year-old former Southend full-back spent one season at Kilmarnock, and helped the team maintain their top-flight status despite a difficult season for the Ayrshire club.

Clohessy has agreed terms on a two-year contract with Colchester, subject to clearance.

And the former Arsenal youth player has already trained with his team-mates at the club's Florence Park complex.

Clohessy played 26 times for Kilmarnock last season, but he has much experience playing in the lower leagues in England, having made 160 appearances for Southend.
