Clough wants quiet start

Derby boss Nigel Clough wants his slow starters to learn their lesson when they face Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The Rams have found themselves an early goal down to their opponents in recent meetings which always prove to be frenetic encounters.

"We are fed up of saying let's keep it tight early on - we are not even going to mention it this time!" Clough told the Derby Telegraph.

"We say keep it tight but there just seems to be some drama in the first few minutes. We've lost early goals or had a man sent off, so we would like a nice quiet start to the game.

"If we get through the first five minutes, we've got a chance. The lack of a clean sheet is down to a combination of things.

"It is an all-round thing. We just have to do five per cent more all round and then we will keep some clean sheets."
