Colback leaves England squad
Newcastle midfielder Jack Colback has been forced to pull out of the England squad ahead of Monday's European Championship qualifier against Switzerland.
Colback suffered a kick on the calf during an England training session this week and has been sent back to Newcastle for treatment.
He will not be part of the squad preparing for the match in Basel where England open their qualifying campaign for Euro 2016.
Manager Roy Hodgson said: "Jack Colback has had to leave us. He took a very nasty kick on the back of the calf.
"We were hoping he would train with us but he can't do that so it's better to send him back to Newcastle."
