Cole nets Blues deal - Report

England full-back Ashley Cole has agreed a new one-year deal at Chelsea, according to reports on Saturday.

The news ends speculation that the left-back would leave Stamford Bridge on a free transfer when his contract expired at the end of the season.

He had been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris St Germain but has decided to stay at the club he joined in 2006, with the paperwork expected to completed before Tuesday.

Cole's team-mate Frank Lampard is also out of contract at the end of this campaign but looks set to depart the west London club.
