Collins: Forest need to push on

Nottingham Forest skipper Danny Collins has labelled the club "underachievers" following their pedestrian start to the season.

The Reds are currently languishing in 12th position but have shown signs of improvement recently with four points from their previous two matches.

And skipper Collins is still targeting a top-six finish, with Premier League promotion remaining the ultimate goal for the season.

"We have underachieved in the last few weeks, we have not performed to the standards expected of us; to the standards that the gaffer wants from us," he told the Nottingham Post.

"But I can see signs that we are close to getting back to where we want to be and to where the gaffer wants us to be. We want to be in the top six. I wouldn't be at the club if I didn't believe we had ambitions to be pushing on.

"But when I look at the squad, if things click for us on the day, I believe we can be a match for any other team in this league."
