Corini signs Chievo extension
Chievo coach Eugenio Corini has signed a two-year contract extension which will keep him in charge of the Verona outfit until June 2017.
Corini, who had one year left in his previous deal, led Chievo to defend their Serie A status for a sixth straight year.
The former Chievo captain took the reins of the team in October 2012 and is delighted to have pledged his future at the club.
"I want to thank my players and the club," Corini said to www.chievoverona.it. "They have made me feel part of an important project.
"Alongside the club president and the sporting director, we are ready to start planning for a great season next year.
"With respect to the past, I will take part in building the team, work from the start of pre-season on my football tactics."
Chievo won 10 league games to finish 16th in the standings, four points clear of the drop zone.
