Coulter-Nile to miss tour

Cricket Australia has confirmed that Nathan Coulter-Nile will miss the limited overs tri-series tournament in Zimbabwe after undergoing hamstring surgery.

The all-rounder suffered a recurrence of an injury to his left hamstring which interrupted his participation in this year's Indian Premier League with Delhi Daredevils.

\"Nathan has had a recurring left hamstring tendon injury over the past four months and required surgery to repair the damaged tendon to give it the best chance of recovery,\" said Australian team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris.

"Nathan will now commence a rehabilitation programme, however he is unlikely to be bowling again in time to be available for the ODI tri-series in Zimbabwe. We will take our time with Nathan's recovery to ensure he is fully fit for the big summer of cricket ahead.\"

Coulter-Nile joins David Warner on the sidelines for the African tour, following the opening batsman's withdrawal from the squad for personal reasons.

The tour will see Australia play four one-day internationals against Zimbabwe and South Africa, commencing in late August.
