Couturier leads Flyers rally

Sean Couturier scored two of Philadelphia's four third-period goals as the Flyers rallied from 3-1 down to beat the Detroit Red Wings 6-3.

Two goals from Tomas Tatar and one from Johan Franzen put the Red Wings in control but Philadelphia, who had levelled in at 1-1 in the first through Steve Downie, got one back before the end of the second from Matt Read, leaving them 3-2 down going into the third.

Philadelphia them romped away with it in the third with goals from Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell, and two from Couturier, who also had two assists.

Also on Wednesday, the Montreal Canadiens beat the New Jersey Devils via a shootout, while Calgary Flames were 4-1 winners over the Phoenix Coyotes.
