Cowie rallies Cardiff players

Cardiff midfielder Don Cowie has told his team-mates not to give up hope of securing survival in the Premier League.

Cardiff find themselves two points adrift of safety with just two games left after losing their relegation six-pointer against Sunderland at the weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men face Newcastle and Chelsea in their final two games and Cowie has called on the Cardiff players to put the Sunderland defeat behind them and focus on trying to secure six points.

"It's disappointing. The manner of the goals we conceded were hard to take, but we have to get on with it, we can't feel sorry for ourselves," Cowie told the club's official website.

"We lick our wounds and get on with it. There's no point in feeling sorry for ourselves because there is simply no time for us to do so.

"We get on with it and focus on two massive games ahead. We've got to try and get maximum points."
