Creepy has Challow aim

Creepy is on course to bid for Grade One honours at Newbury over the Christmas period.

The five-year-old, trained by Martin Keighley, looked a smart staying prospect when winning the Grade Two Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham last month.

Creepy could have returned to the scene of that success on Saturday in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle, but Keighley has decided to wait for the Betfred Goals Galore Challow Novices' Hurdle.

"He goes for the Challow Hurdle at Newbury, the Grade One novice on the 28th. All's good with him," said the Condicote handler.

"He could have gone for the Grade Two Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham on Saturday, but he got a 10lb penalty for winning a Grade Two. That's a big penalty and if you go to Newbury he doesn't get a penalty."
