Crookes charged after sending off

Hull winger Jason Crookes' red card in Saturday's derby loss to Hull KR has earned him a Rugby Football League charge.

Crookes was sent off for a head-high shot in Liam Salter in the 49th minute of his side's 38-24 loss to Rovers at the Etihad Stadium.

He has been served with a Grade B charge for a careless tackle and, as he has already submitted an early guilty plea this season, now faces a one-or two-match ban if found guilty.

Crookes is the only player to be charged after the Magic Weekend in Manchester.

Team-mate Kirk Yeaman has been warned for a dangerous throw, while Salford's Gareth Hock has also been ticked off for raising the knee in the tackle. Wigan's Dom Crosby received the RFL's third warning, also for a dangerous throw.
