Kyle Okposo scored twice in the first for the Islanders before James Neal began Pittsburgh's rally in the second.
Ryan Kesler scored twice in third period to hand the Vancouver Canucks a 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators.
The teams exchanged scores in the second period before Kesler's 13th and 14th goals of the season swung it Vancouver's way.
