Cup fires up Laudrup dreams

Manager Michael Laudrup is determined to field a strong Swansea team in their Capital One Cup clash at Liverpool despite missing two big stars.

The Swans travel to Anfield on Wednesday for their fourth round tie without goalkeeper Michel Vorm and defender Angel Rangel.

During Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Manchester City, Vorm was carried off with a groin injury, while Rangel picked up a fifth yellow card of the season to hamper their preparations.

Laudrup said: "I have to see how people are for Wednesday, think about that game and the Chelsea game. But I can guarantee it will be a competitive team.

"If we win at Liverpool then we are in the quarter-finals and that would be

the first time in the story of Swansea. That would be very good for the club.

"They are another two big games this week but, if we play like this, I am sure

there will be something waiting for us in these two games.

"I only want to only see the positive things here because there are so

many."
