Notts County boss Keith Curle was happy to take a point from their goalless draw at play-off rivals Brentford.
County consolidated their sixth position and remain three points ahead of Brentford after the stalemate.
Curle said: "We've come to a side bang in form who have bullied a lot of teams and more than matched them physically.
"When we could we played some good football. They surprised me because they were a lot more direct than I thought they'd be, but we were still very strong across the back.
"They didn't really pose us too many problems apart from the set-pieces, but this is a result we would have taken before the game so I'm pleased with it.
"Lloyd Sam came off with a slight twinge and we thought we'd give him time to rest it. At the other end I thought we were extremely resolute."
