Curtis: I want to be Main man
Striker Curtis Main is determined to prove he is the man to answer Middlesbrough's goalscoring problems.
The Teessiders have failed to score in each of their last six Sky Bet Championship games, but Main is confident he can repay the faith invested in him by manager Aitor Karanka by ending that drought.
The former Darlington forward told the Northern Echo: "Since the manager has been here, every game I have been available for, I have been involved in at some point from the bench or the start.
"I just want to build on that and play as many games as possible.
"Loans are not even in my thinking. I just want to impress here and do well for this manager in this team.
"The manager keeps selecting me after what I have shown in training, so I must be doing things right.
"I haven't been changing a great deal in how I train and work. I just have to keep doing what I have been doing to catch the manager's eye and hopefully take those performances from the training ground on to the pitch on a Saturday."
