Czechs into Davis Cup last four

Lukas Rosol secured the Czech Republic's place in the semi-finals of the Davis Cup with victory over Evgeny Korolev in Astana.

Kazakhstan had got themselves back into the tie on Saturday with a win in the doubles after Rosol and Jan Hajek had given the defending champions a 2-0 lead on Friday.

And, despite a battling display from Koroloev, Rosol was able to claim his second win of the tie 7-6 6-7 7-6 6-2 to make the remaining clash between Hasak and Andrey Golubev a dead rubber.

The win sees the Czechs move into the semi-finals for the fourth time in five years where they will face either France or Argentina.

Argentina lead France 2-1 going into this afternoon's singles while in the other match-ups Serbia lead the USA 2-1 and Canada hold a 2-1 advantage over Italy.
