D.Zagreb v D.Kiev preview

Dinamo Zagreb will be looking to avoid the ignominy of another pointless campaign when they host Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday.

The Croatian side face the prospect of picking up no points from their six Champions League group games for the second consecutive season, equalling Anderlecht's record of 12 consecutive losses.

The Zagreb outfit are yet to even score a goal in Group A but striker Fatos Beqiraj is confident they can end their barren run against the Ukrainian visitors.

"The atmosphere in the team is very good and we cannot wait for the game," the Montenegro international told the club's official website.

"It's time to win the first points and I hope that we will succeed. Everyone who plays will give their best. It will be hard, but if we all give 100 per cent then we will get the result."

Dinamo are at least close to full strength with only Ivan Peko unavailable through injury and have some cause for optimism given the fact that their Kiev opponents have also failed to impress.

Despite winning the reverse fixture 2-0 in October, Dynamo have picked up just one more point from their other four matches - a goalless draw at home to FC Porto.

Dynamo midfielder Niko Kranjcar has also been robbed of the opportunity to play against the club with whom he began his professional career due to injury but is still looking forward to the game.

"I just hope that it will be a good match which will be fun for the football players and fans," he told the club's official website.
