Davis praises Inman's attitude

Crewe boss Steve Davis hopes Bradden Inman's attitude problems which forced him dropped from the first team recently are over.

Inman, along with fellow midfielder Anthony Grant, was left out in the cold for nearly a month recently with Davis claiming the pair were absent due to "a sheer lack of effort and attitude".

That heavy-handed move came as a surprise given Inman was so effective during a loan spell at Gresty Road last season and was the Alex's number-one transfer target over the summer, but Davis thinks it may have had the desired effect.

The 22-year-old returned to first-team action off the bench in the 2-2 draw with Coventry last weekend, while Grant has been building his fitness up in friendlies, and the manager has praised Inman for seeing the light.

"He's realised the errors of his ways and he's shown a really positive attitude since then," he said.

"He got some minutes on the pitch (against Coventry), deservedly so from his efforts in training, and he looked a menace when he came on. He ran at the full-back and was very positive in his play.

"A player like Brad, who has so much talent and so much to offer, with the right attitude is a real asset for us. Hopefully now he can push on."
