Day one at Derby washed out
Rain put paid to any chances of play on the first day of Derbyshire's LV= County Championship match against Kent at the County Ground.
Inclement early conditions in Derby had relented but, 15 minutes before the Division Two match was about to start, rain returned to delay the action until after lunch at the earliest.
Further inspections took place at 2pm and 2.45pm before an early tea was called at 3.10pm, and the decision was ultimately taken to reconvene on Monday morning.
A tweet from Derbyshire's official account read: "CLOSE: And that's it for the day! No play on day one against @kentcricket due to rain. We'll try again tomorrow at 11am £DERvKEN"
