De Bruyn released by Surrey
Surrey have released veteran all-rounder Zander de Bruyn with immediate effect.
The Brown Caps signed the 38-year-old Johannesburg-born player from Somerset in 2010 but he has now left the club by mutual consent.
Alec Stewart, who is running team affairs on a temporary basis, said: "I would like to thank Zander for his efforts over the past three years at Surrey.
"He has been an extremely popular member of the dressing room and has made important contributions with both bat and ball in all forms of the game.
"The club would like to wish Zander the very best for the next stage of his career"
De Bruyn added: "I have cherished my time with Surrey and I would like to wish the players and management all the best for the future. I am now looking forward to the next stage of my career."
