Deal sees Boundary Park renamed
Oldham have announced a new partnership with Sports Direct that will see the retail giants become the club's main kit supplier.
The company, headed by Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, has agreed to the biggest commercial deal in Oldham's history which will also see Boundary Park renamed SportsDirect.com Park.
Part of the five-year deal also includes a pre-season game with Newcastle and will see an Oldham club shop erected underneath the new North Stand at the stadium.
Oldham chairman Simon Corney told the club's official website: "This is a landmark day for the football club.
"We are delighted to enter into a partnership of this magnitude with Sports Direct.
"A lot of work has gone into this deal which see's Sports Direct become our front of shirt partner and Sondico become our technical kit partner for the next five seasons, as well as the renaming of Boundary Park to SportsDirect.com Park.
"There is a lot going on at the club, with the construction of the new stand and the opportunities this affords us.
"We have a dynamic young manager who is looking to assemble a squad to build upon the excellent finish we enjoyed to last season.
"The fact we have attracted Sports Direct as our major commercial partner shows that we are moving the club forward.
"This deal is a first for Oldham Athletic and shows that the long-term future and stability of the club is at the forefront of our minds as we move forward.
