Debut disappointment for St. Louis

Tyler Bozak spoiled Martin St. Louis' New York Rangers debut with two goals as the Toronto Maple Leafs won 3-2 at Madison Square Garden.

Bozak scored a penalty shot and then snatched the winner 1:51 into overtime after Toronto had squandered a 2-0 lead.

Six-time All-Star St. Louis was making his Rangers debut after arriving from the Tampa Bay Lightning in the biggest trade of deadline day, with Ryan Callahan heading the other way as the two teams exchanged captains.

Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek scored two apiece to help the Philadelphia Flyers to a 6-4 victory over the Washington Capitals, Philadelphia's seventh win in their last eight games.

The Flyers were up 4-0 by the second period, forcing the Capitals to pull goaltender Braden Holtby and showing why Washington had moved to acquire Jaroslav Halak from Buffalo earlier in the day.

Markus Granlund's first career NHL goal helped the Calgary Flames to a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators.

Joni Ortio made 30 saves for his first NHL victory.

Andrei Markov scored in a shoot-out as the Montreal Canadiens edged out the Anaheim Ducks 4-3.
