Del Bosque wants Spain focus

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque admitted the reigning world champions will have be at the top of their game for the opening match of the group against Holland.

In a replay of the 2010 final, Spain and Holland will meet in a tough-looking Group B along with Chile and Australia - though perhaps not as difficult as Group G where Germany are up against Portugal, Ghana and the United States.

Del Bosque said: "We're going to have to prepare ourselves from day one and get in the right frame of mind. They are going to demand everything from us. But it's up to us to perform, it's not just down to our opponents.

"Holland have changed since 2010, especially in midfield and in defence. But they've still got Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben.

"Chile have been playing very good football, which is very uncomfortable to play against, for the last few years. They are very strong at pressing, they have very intelligent footballers who are very skilful. They will be very difficult."

Hosts Brazil will play Croatia in the opening match of the World Cup while Mexico and Cameroon are the other sides in Group A.

England have a daunting challenge in Group D against seeds Uruguay, Italy and Costa Rica.

Group E looks the easiest, where France will be up against Switzerland, Ecuador and Honduras, while in Group F Lionel Messi and Argentina are up against Nigeria, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Group C looks finally balanced where Colombia, Cote D'Ivoire, Japan and Greece are together, while Group H will feature Belgium, Russia, Algeria and South Korea.
