Del Potro waltzes to Vienna win

Juan Martin del Potro collected his third title of the season with a straight-sets triumph over Grega Zemlja in the final of the Erste Open.

The top seed and world No 7 beat the little-known Slovenian 7-5 6-3 in 102 minutes, breaking serve three times in all in Vienna.

The 24-year-old Argentinian, who was beaten in the final of this event last year, recovered from a slow start to cruise over the finishing line by winning 11 of the last 15 games.

The key moment of the match came in the opening set when he saved three break points in the ninth game.

In the second set, Del Potro never came close to being broken, conceding just five points in as many service games at the Wiener Stadthalle.

Zemlja, the 26-year-old world No 70 from Kranj, was competing in the first ATP Tour final of his career.
