Demora has Ascot mission
Demora will head to Ascot for the £1000,000 Totepool Heritage Handicap on July 12 before stepping up in class.
Mick Appleby's mare won a valuable race at Hyadock on her final start of the last campaign and continued her progression when making all the running to win the Scottish Sprint Cup at Musselburgh.
If all goes to plan Appleby will then go in search of black type with the five-year-old, with the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp and a trip to Dubai in the offing.
"She goes for the big handicap at Ascot next on July 12," said Appleby.
"Hopefully she'll win that and then we can look to step her up in class and get some black type, she'll be a very valuable mare.
"We'll probably aim her at the Abbaye - it suits very fast horses like her - then we might look at Dubai.
"I'll leave Ali (Rawlinson) on her next time to offset the rise in the weights.
"It's £100,000 race at Ascot so we may as well try win some of that first."
