Dhoni singles out Panesar

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni singled out Monty Panesar as England's match-winner following the 10-wicket defeat in Mumbai.

Panesar, brought into the England team after missing out on the heavy first Test defeat, finished the match with career-best figures of 11-210 as he and fellow spinner Graeme Swann took 19 of India's 20 wickets.

They took all 10 of India's second-innings wickets as the hosts were skittled for 142, allowing Alastair Cook and Nick Compton to knock of the target of 57 in under 10 overs.

"Monty bowled really well," said Dhoni. "If you see all the other spinners, all of them looked effective, all of them were getting a bit of turn and bounce, but they were not really uncomfortable for the batsmen.

"But Monty, the pace he bowled at, he made sure the batsmen were coming on to the front foot and playing him so I think the major difference was him."
