Diarra having QPR medical

Lassana Diarra is having a medical with QPR this morning, according to Sky sources.

Diarra has left Lokomotiv Moscow following a dispute with coach Leonid Kuchuk and is now set to link up with former boss Harry Redknapp who he played under at Portsmouth.

The 29-year-old French midfielder, who has also played for Chelsea and Arsenal, has arrived in London and is expected to sign for Rangers after completing a medical and agreeing personal terms.

Redknapp signed Diarra from Arsenal in January 2008, for a fee of around 5.5million, and sold the Frenchman to Real Madrid for 18.88 million a year later.

Rangers signed goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from Reading on Friday, but there are a number of players expected to leave the club with Loic Remy, Danny Simpson and Armand Traore all linked with moves away from Loftus Road.
