Oldham boss Paul Dickov has urged his players to take the positives out of their 1-0 defeat at Brentford in League One on Saturday.
The former Manchester City striker was beaten for the third time in as many meetings by his former team-mate and now Bees manager Uwe Rosler.
But he insisted there were plenty of plus points to take from the performance at Griffin Park, which ended with his side laying siege to the home goal.
"We're finding points hard to come by, but we have to take heart from a performance like that when I thought we definitely deserved at least a point," he said.
"At the end, we looked a real threat and but for their keeper making an unbelievable save, we would have taken at least a point."
In reality, Brentford should have been out of sight before half-time, defender Tony Craig and Clayton Donaldson squandering clear-cut chances to head their side into the lead.
