Ding eases into Galway final

Ding Junhui made the final of the Players Tour Championship Grand Finals with a 4-0 win over Norweigian surprise package Kurt Maflin in Galway.

Ding had made seven centuries in the 12 rounds he had won en route to reaching the last four but although he was unable to add anymore on Sunday, he still ran out a comfortable winner against Maflin, who was playing his first semi-final at a full ranking event.

The Chinese ace said on World Snooker's website: "I didn't play that well today, but the most important thing is to win the frames."

Meeting the 25-year-old in the final is Australian Neil Robertson, who had a much tougher test in his semi-final.

The world number three looked to be cruising after establishing a 3-0 lead against England's Tom Ford, who like Maflin was playing in his first semi in a full ranking tournament.

However, Ford battled back to level the match at 3-3 and he had several chances to take the victory in the decider before Robertson found his form again to claim the win with a break of 48.
