Diosgyor keen on Futacs

Hungarian side Diosgyor say they are keen on keeping Marko Futacs at the club after his loan spell from Leicester City last season.

The 24-year-old striker, who was signed from Portsmouth in 2012, has another year remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium but first-team chances are likely to be limited after Premier League promotion.

Futacs previously had an unsuccessful loan spell at Blackpool in 2013 but enjoyed better fortunes in his homeland last season as he hit nine goals in 22 outings.

Diosgyor sporting director Gabor Arki believes that Futacs would be happy to stay in Hungary, but admits that some budgeting may be required in order to acquire him again next season.

"We need serious extra money to keep him in our team," he told Borsod Online.

"His future is not only in our hands. Marko said that if there's a chance then he'd like to stay at Diosgyor."
