Donald slides down leaderboard
Three bogeys in his opening nine holes saw world number three Luke Donald fall behind the leaders at the Northern Trust Open in California.
The English player had started the day in third, two shots off leaders Bae Sang-moon and Fredrik Jacobson, and he started well with a birdie.
However, he followed that with three bogeys in six holes to tumble to a tie for 12th at the halfway stage.
It was a similar story for Bae who had also sunk three bogeys to sit in a tie for fourth alongside Jacobson who had a double bogey on the sixth.
Instead, it was Bill Haas who was ahead at the halfway stage, with three birdies on the front nine followed by an eagle immediately after the turnaround.
Fellow American Josh Teater was second, starting the day with an eagle and following that up with a birdie and a bogey on the front nine, and three more birdies and a bogey through 13.
