Dons hit back to deny Swindon
Patrick Bamford enhanced his growing reputation with a well-taken equaliser as MK Dons fought back to draw 1-1 with 10-man Swindon on Saturday.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 17th minute of their League One encounter at Stadium:MK when midfielder Alex Pritchard curled home a 22-yard free-kick that gave David Martin no chance in the Dons goal.
But the match turned in the 51st minute when Nathan Byrne saw red for a late challenge on Shaun Williams.
And the equaliser arrived just four minutes later when Darren Potter slipped the ball through to Bamford, who ran through the heart of the Town defence before slipping the ball past Wes Foderingham.
The strike took the 19-year-old Chelsea loanee's tally for the season to five.
George Baldock thought he'd won it for the Dons two minutes from time when he slotted home, only to see his celebrations cut short by the linesman's flag.
The draw lifts MK Dons up to fourth and Swindon up to eighth ahead of the 3pm kick-offs in League One.
