Double injury boost for Bulls

Bradford Bulls head coach Francis Cummins has been boosted by the news Matt Diskin and Adam Sidlow will be back in action sooner than feared.

The pair both suffered injuries in Sunday's 16-0 defeat to Hull KR with both being helped from the field in quick success during the opening half hour.

Cummins feared front-rower Sidlow had suffered a broken leg while former Leeds Rhinos Diskin left the field with a calf problem.

Following scans Sidlow could be back in action inside three weeks while Diskin is expected to be sidelined for a month out with a torn muscle.

Prognosis

"This is great news for us, given the initial prognosis," Cummins told the club's official website.

"Both injuries are as good as they could possibly be, I guess, meaning we should have Matt and Adam back fit fairly soon.

"These sorts of injuries are often hard to judge, but I am confident of speedy returns for them as they are in great shape otherwise.

"They are in the brilliant hands of our medical team and I wish them well in their respective recoveries."
