Doull leads GB medal charge

Owain Doull took scratch race gold as GB's cyclists celebrated a successful day at the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Aguascalientes.

Welshman Doull beat Hong Kong rider King Lok Cheung to the line in the 60-lap race and picked up his second medal of the Mexico meeting having won team pursuit bronze on Friday.

Jason Kenny, a three-time Olympic champion, won sprint silver while double world champion Becky James finished third in the women's keirin.

There was a further medal for the British team as Elinor Barker clinched individual pursuit silver.

Olympic omnium champion Laura Trott won the elimination race to reach second place overall in the ongoing six-discipline event, behind world champion Sarah Hammer.

Elsewhere, Ed Clancy was fifth in the omnium while Jess Varnish placed eighth in the 500m time trial.
