Dujardin wins in Lyon
Double Olympic dressage gold medallist Charlotte Dujardin produced a stunning performance to win the Reem Acra FEI World Cup grand prix.
British star Dujardin and her London 2012 horse Valegro broke their own world record with a score of 87.129 per cent to triumph by an emphatic margin from Germany's Helen Langehanenberg.
And they will now look to seal more World Cup success in Sunday's freestyle to music class.
Gloucestershire-based Dujardin won team and individual gold in the London Olympics, while she is also the reigning European individual champion.
"I honestly can't believe it," Dujardin said.
"He (Valegro) is just getting stronger and stronger every year. You just think that's his maximum, there is no more, but every year it seems to be that there is just a bit more and a bit more.
"I have got such a great partnership with him, and he just gives me so much confidence."
Dujardin and Valegro will perform a new floor-plan and music in Sunday's freestyle, and she added: "I am really excited.
"Tomorrow is just fun, go out there and enjoy it. It's going to be great, a full house, so it is very exciting."
