Dynamo Kiev sack boss Blokhin
Dynamo Kiev have sacked head coach Oleh Blokhin, with the club seven points off the title pace in Ukraine.
Former national team boss Blokhin, 61, took over at the Olimpiyskiy in September 2012 and led Dynamo to a third-placed finish in the Ukrainian Premier League at his first attempt.
But the 2009 champions currently look set to emulate that under-par achievement, with Shakhtar Donetsk and Dnipro both seven points away in a share of first place, and Dynamo have therefore opted to make a change.
A statement published on fcdynamo.kiev.ua read: "FC Dynamo Kyiv president Ihor Surkis has decided to fire the head coach Oleh Blokhin for unsatisfactory results demonstrated by the team."
