Dzeko would welcome Modric
Croatia star Luka Modric should quit Tottenham for Manchester City this summer, according to Edin Dzeko.
City manager Roberto Mancini has made no secret of his admiration for the Croatia midfielder, who was courted by Chelsea last summer.
Spurs managed to hang onto Modric then despite the player's admission he wanted to leave, but failure to make next season's Champions League could lead to renewed interest from around Europe.
Bosnia star Dzeko told The Sun: "Everyone is after him, but I would love it if he came to City. He would be a great addition.
"Besides that, he would have everything at City - Champions league, fighting for the title, great wages. I am cheering for him to choose City."
Dzeko's own Eastlands future is uncertain after just 16 league starts this season, but he said: "There are still games left in the league and it is too early to discuss such matters."
