Tom Eastman has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract extension at Colchester United.
The defender's deal was due to expire in the summer but the club have moved to tie him down until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
The 22-year-old has made 52 appearances for the U's after joining from Ipswich in 2011.
