Edwards named Walker Cup captain
Nigel Edwards will captain GB and Ireland for the third time in the Walker Cup after being confirmed to lead the team at Royal Lytham in 2015.
The 45-year-old Welshman twice played on winning teams and first took charge of the side in 2011, for the victory at Royal Aberdeen, keeping the role for the 2013 match in Southampton, New York, where the trophy was relinquished to the United States.
Edwards, who is performance director for England Golf, said: "I'm very proud to have the opportunity to captain the Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup team for a third time in 2015.
"I am looking forward to continuing my involvement and using my past experience as both a player and captain to make sure the players are prepared to play to the best of their ability."
